Glasgow's Tour de France

This Sunday (23rd) Glasgow plays host to the National Road Race Championships. This is the first time the championships have come to Glasgow and will be brining some of the world's best riders to the city streets.

Alex Dowsett, Tour de France stage winner Mark Cavendish, Olympic and World champion Laura Trott, 5-time World champion Ed Clancy, Olympic silver medallist Lizzie Armitstead and Scotland’s own David Millar will all be among the peleton on Sunday.

With the women's race starting at 9.30am and the men's at 1.30pm there is a full day's racing to be savoured and with a hilly, twisty route through Glasgow's streets and over the cobbles, there should be plenty of action to look forward to.

The race will be coming through the heart of Kelvingrove Park which will make for a super spectacle. Or, if you'd rather see the sprint finish, the start/finish will be on Glasgow Green.

We're certainly looking forward to it and hope you enjoy it in Glasgow. What a perfect teaser for the Tour de France! Allez allez!
